Domus Colosseo Roof Garden

Domus Colosseo Roof Garden

YOUR EXCLUSIVE “NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC” VIEW

It is a sunny and luxury penthouse (130 m² plus 130 m² of terraces) arranged on three floors with a breathtaking 360° view over the heart of ancient Rome. The exclusive 8th floor rooftop terrace is one of the top viewpoints in Rome and views are so spectacular that they were chosen by National Geographic for the programme “City Chase” (May 2008) broadcast in Rome (here you can see 1 frame of the Nat Geo Adventure movie shot on the roof garden).

Comfortably settled at the 6th, 7th and 8th floor of an 8-floor building with lift, it is perfect for families and groups spending holidays in the Eternal City as it is located:

  • at only 1 minute walk from the Coliseum and the Imperial Forums
  • in the district Celio, that is one of the famous Seven Hills, encircled by three public parks and lively with restaurants, pubs and supermarkets

PENTHOUSE WITH VIEWS

The apartment is ideal for a family or a group up to 8 people (6 adults plus 2 children), as the inner and outer space of the apartment (260 m² arranged on three floors) allows full ease of living.

Outdoor spaces and stunning views are the main trait of the penthouse.

Views play the leading role, both inside and outside the apartment. Inside, the numerous windows typical of the Fifties bring a unique mixture of light and views into the rooms, where shades of white and beige together with the blond of the wooden parquet accompany such a mixture. Outside, in the terraces, flowers are white, yellow, blue. A minimalist style highlights the amazing views that characterize the apartment: no curtains, few tabletop accessories, selected maps and paintings by famous authors like Piranesi remind of the history of Rome through the centuries up to the Fifties, when the building grew (1952).

AMENITIES

Renovated in 2006, the penthouse preserves interiors from the 1950s and offers full comforts: Jacuzzi, air conditioning, heating, internet wireless connection, satellite tv with international programs, dvd-divx-cd-mpeg-mp3 player, fridge, freezer, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine (no dryer), coffee maker, kettle, toaster, cot and highchair for a baby, etc. In the apartment there are on the 6th floor:

•  a living room with three sofas (one double sofa bed) plus an additional bed

• one dining room for 10-12 people and one independent kitchen

• 3 bedrooms – one big double room with an additional bed; one twin, also to be arranged as a double bedroom, with a cot; one smaller room next to one of the two bathrooms

• two bathrooms – one with Jacuzzi hot tub and the other one with shower, both with bidet and hairdryer

On the 7th floor there is a “Belvedere” room with a sofa bed.

“DOLCE VITA” TERRACES

Further than the indoor spaces, there are special outdoor spaces typical of the 1950s, the “Dolce Vita” years when the penthouse was built. Three terraces of 130 m², renovated using authentic materials from our Roman tradition (like travertine and marble-chip floor tiles) and furnished with table, chairs, deckchairs, sun beds, Mediterranean plants, offer

• on the 6th floor a wonderful living and dining room in the open air;

• on the 7th floor a nice living space with an outdoor shower and view on the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore;

• on the 8th floor an exclusive roof garden (50 m²) with 360° view on Rome.
